Where do I stand with this illegal ticket?

Any advice where I stand with this. Parked the works vehicle in a street in Hackney this week, paid the parking through the app on the sign next to the van. Recieved the receipt but subsequently come back to a fine. It seems they have put the sign on the wrong street, the sign relates to a street in South London. I contested but are saying I haven't paid even though I have a receipt and are not allowing me to recontest.. How is this right they are chasing me still. Where do I go from here?

The sign is on the wrong street? Or you gave the wrong number?

If the sign itself genuinely was wrong, then you will be one of a very large number of parkers with the same issue.

Don't the apps ask you to confirm the location?

Out of interest, how do you know the sign is on the wrong street, and should be in south London not Hackney?
