Just received an email from them confirming they have deposited the funds back to my card. I've not bothered checking but my guess is I'm getting back what I'm entitled to and their original offer would have seen them pocket the difference from the airline.
I suspect you might just be getting the Air Passenger Duty element of the fare back.0 -

Last time.
I said I had to cancel 30 minutes before departure. Not I booked a flight and 30 minutes later decided I didn't fancy it0 -

And yet you said you did not check the amount of your refund!
As for your rights: you are entitled to a refund of Air Passenger Duty (less the administrative costs of processing such a refund), and to anything that the fare rules of your ticket say should be refunded. (One of the things I hate about LastMinute is that you cannot see the fare rules until you have bought the ticket.)0 -

Well, OK. You said you cancelled 30 minutes before departure, and then in the next sentence "booked a flight and 30 minutes later decided I didn't fancy it". By my arithmetic you must have made the booking just one hour before take-off.0 -
Lastminute com are trying to charge me £30 handling fee to refund my ticket due to Coronovirus. British Airways have cancelled all flights to Italy and said we should get a full refund, however lastminute.com are charging the £30 to refund back to card or not charging any handling fee to give money back via a voucher for their site. £30 is a ridiculous amount?! Are they able to do this?0
