Hi I want to make a faster payment to my Santander credit card . Does anyone have their up to date account number and sort code for this ? I tried to do it earlier but for some reason I sent the payment then then my bank recredited my account with the same payment .

The sort code and account number to be used will be clearly shown on your Santander credit card statement. Use your credit card account number as reference.

Have you asked your bank exactly why your account was recredited? Could it be due to lack of funds in the account perhaps?
You could also call Santander credit cards and reconfirm the sort code and account number.

Looking at your previous posting history surprised you still have an active Santander credit card.

I went on the online help to my bank and spoke to a virtual assistant but it was no use . Will check in morning in case it comes off and if not will try again and check my letter from Santander . Thanks for helping me

Not surprised the virtual assistant was of no use. You need to speak to a person.

Which sort code and collection account number did you use?
Did you add the card number in the reference field?...have you checked you didn't make an error?
Who's the current account provider?
Was this the first payment made from this account or did you use a saved payee?
Did you enter the details manually or did your bank detect Santander Cards and pre-populate the sort code and collection account number?

I'd be very surprised if it re-debits overnight.

You'll find Sort code and Account number on page 2 of the monthly statement under "How to make a payment".Check online or load it down.

My card has Sort code 09-00-99 and Account number 01000007.
Reference would be your 16-digit card number.

Be careful, there might be different accounts for different cards. Do not use it before checking first.

I just settled a Santander credit card balance using these.

A generic sort code and account number, presumably for all Santander credit cards - the vital part is to input your 16 digit card number correctly.

If you are unsure, send a nominal £1 payment to ensure all is good.
