Calor Gas Cooking

I have a full size cooker in a mobile home run by Calor Gas on my property.

Can someone please tell me how I regulate the cooking, products say gas mark 6 my cooker has 3 setting Off, High & Low?

Get an oven thermometer and work it out yourself.

What make is it? many cheap bottled gas cookers do not have a thermostatically controlled oven and are difficult to control.
I guess yours is one like this, will be hotter when the bottle is full.
Good makes like Belling, Cannon and Calor have thermostatic ovens.

You don't need a thermostatically controlled oven to regulate the temperature the gas control (valve) can be used for that.

Where did you dream that one up?

Experience, we were on bottles of gas for years when "off grid" the first indication that the gas was down to less than 1/4 full was the oven not getting to normal temperature on low setting so had to up it to 1/2 setting.
All the gas lights worked OK at the same time though.

So not thermostatic, the knob just regulates how big the flame is.
Best thing would be to buy a simple oven gauge and get used to the cooker. Gauges are cheap, £2.15 on Amazon.
