Premier Inn complaint.

Stayed in Premier Inn Harrogate arriving 29 Nov and departing 2 December. Woke up on morning of 1st to find there was no water! (For showers, washing or flushing toilets.) Problem was not resolved until that evening meaning we we're forced to stay out of room all day. Woke up next morning to same problem! A trickle of water in the tap but none in shower. Having complained I was offered a refund for one night even though the problem affected at least part of 2 days I'd paid for! (check in is 2.00pm and check out is 12.00 midday. ) I spoke to a manager in what they laughingly call their "guest relations" department. Is their anywhere else anyone would suggest I take this too. Apart from leaving stinking reviews everywhere!

  • Was the water the hotels problem or was it a mains problem?

If they haven't got water there is not much they can do.

You were forced to stay out of your room all day?
Were you not out of the room for much of the day anyway, doing whatever you'd gone to Harrogate for?
Refund of one night seems reasonable given that you normally have to be out of the hotel by 10 am anyway and it didn't affect the first two nights at all.

What options did they offer you at the time? I can't see how they could have kept running with no water in the hotel at all, on a health and safety basis.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.
