    Hi :)

When we moved house a month ago, we had run our foodstocks quite low. For the first few weeks we were spending about £50 a week on food but this has now lessened. For the past two weeks we have hardly bought any food, just the basics.

We are on a water meter and that is costing about £27 - i think this will be less after a few months as they are adjusting our rate - i think we currently owe them money hence why the water is a bit more.

Electric I am not sure yet - we havent had a bill

Dont forget to ask for stuff for christmas too for the house. I know its boring but its better to get something you need and save you paying for it :)

  • Thanks.

Well I've tried to budget for worse case sincaro so hopefully we'll be ok.

My grandma bought me a kettle, toaster and ironing board for xmas. I've still got my slow cooker etc etc from last time. So glad I didn't sell it all really, however tempting it was to try and pay stuff off!!

Hi i live in an 'older' one bed ground floor flat i pay £39 electricity per month, and find that i am cold, it's just dropped down from £44. My storage heaters are old ones and so i'm guessing they are quite ineffective. I also could have done with lessons on how to use them when i first moved in my first winter quarter cost me £240!
I pay £14 per month on water i'm on a meter and this covers sewage as well. I generaly don't use the bath, just the shower and have a slim line dishwasher, but only run that every other day or so.

Hope that helps, good luck with the move and living together
