MyHermes Tracking .. multiple parcels

I have just dropped off 4 parcels with my local MyHermes collection point and was given a single receipt.
Normally I just have a single parcel for MyH as more often or not I am using Royal Mail
The card has a tracking number on it. I asked the woman in the shop how a single tracking number works for multiple parcels. She didn't know.
Just as a matter of interest, what is the answer to my question

The tracking number's not on the card, they are online in myHermes "active" parcels (assuming you didn't use print in store)Warning: any unnecessary disclaimers appearing under my posts do not bear any connection with reality, either intended, accidental or otherwise. Hi, the tracking number is the barcode number on the address label, this is scanned by shop and the number on the card is also scanned to tie them together. Shop will write the date and the number of parcels scanned on your card, this proves to Hermes you actually dropped the parcels off. Hermes can use this number to track your parcels.0
