EON SMET2 Install

Hi

I'm having new SMET2 meters installed this month and was wondering how you can distinguish between an EON SMET2 and SMET1?

Many thanks

Hello sheffieldeagle and I hope the installation goes well.

We're currently using two makes of SMETS2 smart meters - Landis & Gyr and EDMI. With Landis & Gyr, SMETS2 electricity meter serial numbers have an 'L' in them. All EDMI smart meters we're using are SMETS2.

Our technician will also be able to tell you if the smart meters are SMETS2. We're installing these meters wherever we can. At the moment, over 90% of smart meter installations are SMETS2. There are still some properties where we continue to face problems - mainly due to signalling issues or local on-site difficulties. As I say, we look to fit SMETS2 at every opportunity.

    Hope this helps sheffieldeagle.
