Today i had problems with my e-mail address,Talktalk would not let me open my account as it said " e-mail address not reconised " which is strange as they sent me an e-mail to the same one,i did not know what to do so googled Yahoo uk support and it gave me a number 0800 0314243,i dialed it and spoke to a gentleman with a foreign accent who after i told him of my problem then started to ask me to push certain keys on my computor,at this point i panicked and thought it might be one of those scams where they access your accounts!:eek:
Did i panick for nothing? ps my e-mail account is now working as i have been able to log on to Talktalk and check my account
Thanks for any replies:o

It's a scam "support" telephone number.
I'd not worry if you never let them Access your pc or install anything.
I'd worry if you gave them passwords and answers to security question for your yahoo account. In that case Iog on now and change everything !Ex forum ambassador

Whilst what you say may be true now (I've no idea), it evidently has been the case that TalkTalk used Yahoo to supply it with email services until at least a couple of months ago:
