    I don't know the 'legal' answer but my gut feeling would be you should do no more than is absolutely necessary to limit the damage. For me that would mean perhaps a cheap temporary repair or even a tarpaulin spread over the roof. A permanent repair should surely be the responsibility of the beneficiary.



    Alternatively, speak with the beneficiary and advise them of the issue and ask how they would like to deal with it?

    I have spoken with the council and apparently the section F only applies to the deceased main residence, which this house in question, wasn't. So the estate are getting the main residence council tax reduced to nothing but it has to pay for this property.
