Anyway...back to the post!
There is a guarantee and an expensive treatment plan. The freeholder has all liability and has paid for the plan for 10 years. No one else has had trouble getting mortgages.
Our buyer backed out officially.
Our biggest issue is it is the perfect flat for first time buyers but also it is FTB who get scared off and lack the knowledge.
What can I do in the first instance?0 -
I guess you're going to have to wait for another buyer, and I would be upfront on saying that the property next door has JKW and an insured plan in place and its' no risk and completely mortgageable, so that there is no freak out about it down the track.
Some people will just freak out about such a thing, even if it is under control, so best to "weed" them out in the beginning before time and money is invested.
Alot of lenders won't lend if its within 7 metres of the property.0
