Not sure. But have dropped it many times so I guess it's stainless steel on the inside.
Put a bit of bleach in then topped up with hot water. It cleaned it wonderfully. Then left water and bicarbonate of soda for 12 hrs to finish off. Not sure that was needed, but did it anyway.
I put a torch in there and it's all shiny from what I can see.
As this is a two year build up of staining how do i clean it more frequently so don't guess into this state again? A tea spoon of bicarbonate of soda then water for 12hrs or bleach and water every three months?0 -
Bleach every so often is the answer. Just make sure you rinse it afterwards!0

Half a Milton tablet or a little Milton solution left in it overnight. If it's safe for baby's bottles, then no harm using it in your flask!
It won't leave such a strong smell as normal bleach. If my post hasn't helped you, then don't click the 'Thanks' button!0 -
Yes Milton was the answer.
The current problem though?
If it is a glass vacuum flask then the vacuum has been lost. Bin it.
If it is a modern stainless steel variety, have you preheated the inside with boiling water before draining and filling with the tea? If yes then again bin it.0 -

DO you mean putting boiling water in then pouring it out then putting in hot tea then yeah I did. Dont get why that's stopped it keeping liquid hot.0
