I am interested in buying the above Chromebook and wondering if MS Office 365 can be installed. The reason is I have a lot of Office docs on my PC and I have asked stores, but the answers are yes and no. I haven’t got clear answer to my question from the stores. That’s why I am asking you IT professionals!
From the link above, I see you can purchase Office 365 at a discount with the Chrome book.
What is the answer?
What are options I have through Google play ‘Office’ or just installed it through the product?
I also found out there is expiry date on Chrome book! What is the expiry date for the model and what happens after this date? Can I still use it?
I’m sorry; I am naive about IT products.
Thanks

Office can't be installed on a chromebook so don't understand why they have them as a bundle.0

Yes it can actually...

Not "installing" as such the way you see on a Windows PC. more the Android way.0 -
And if you don't like the apps route, you can always just use Office online, which is free with a Microsoft account.
The online versions have limited functionality compared with the installed versions, but are probably fine for most users. I would imagine the apps are limited functionality too, but have not used them. Can anyone confirm?0 -
Here's a link to the Chromebook expiry date list

It has recently been discovered that it is possible to run Office 365 on a very few Chromebooks but the Lenovo isn't one of them.
Google offer their Docs and Sheets app but it is very limited in what it does.0 -
Thanks guys, one more question -
Which is better Lenovo S340 or S345 (first one is from Currys and second one from John Lewis)?
Plus one with longer expiry date.

But no need to fork out £60 for a licence0 -
you could get a cloudbook, which possibly again poor spec hardware, but it runs windows.
Personally I would look for a second hand laptop, preferably i5-8100 or above, or an AMD ryzen 5 model for about £250 from ebay0
