If you want a personal savings account, then you are entitled to keep it private! Like others have said it may not show, but glad to read you have found a suitable resolution. :-) I guess it comes as part of the situation, now how does your post impact the confidentiality of the situation ;-)
Yes you can keep it private, that is not a problem.
However when your partner is going for a job that involves access to TS material then the vetting agency have a duty to ensure that there are no little holes that can be used as leverage by opposing powers.
And really, that is all that has been pointed out to OP and it was their decision to do what was needed or keep it hidden and jeopardise her partner's new job.
There was no judging, just honest truth about how the vetting system works and the consequences of non-disclosure.0 -
It is very sad how people are judged on this forum. In society we are being encouraged to speak about problems and talk about feelings and issues, yet people here judge and criticise in a personal and unforgiving way. I assume there are a lot of unhappy people here.

That depends what you mean by "entitled" to keep it private!
Depending on the level of this job it is unlikely that anything of potential relevance involving a family member (or anyone else living at the same address or having regular contact with the applicant) will remain private. So, although the OP may not be breaking any law if she doesn't provide the information, they will almost certainly find out. That will lead, at best, to further detailed investigation.0
