The Halifax Clarity Card exchange rate for cash withdrawals and purchases was 1.173€ to £. Better than I expected.
At the same time I used my Nationwide credit card, this is their exchange rate!

IIRC Clarity is MasterCard and Nationwide is Visa
IME MasterCard rates are generally a little better than VisaEverything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the endQuidquid Latine dictum sit altum videtur0 -
and that exchange rate can change from day to day.
I always use my Halifax Clarity- for one thing they no longer need notification that I am going abroad.Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!

I prefer Tandem Credit Card - all the advantages of Halifax Clarity with 0.5% cashback. Also you get almost instant notification of card use which is a great security benefit.0
