How to find the best credit card signup bonuses?

Lots of cards sometimes have exclusive sign up bonuses or whatever but I never really know how to find them without searching manually.

I'm looking to get a new card in January as I'm going to be making a fairly large purchase and would like to get a semi decent sign up bonus by meeting the minimum spend.

There is no such thing as the 'best' sign up bonus. It really depends on what is best for YOU and what you want from the card.
For example, you say you want to make a large purchase. Perhaps a card with a long 0% offer on purchases allowing you to keep the money in your account for an extended period would be best.
Or perhaps you don't want to delay repaying and would like some sort of reward. In such a case look at the various Amex options.
