I just got my first charge card (Amex Gold). Since I have to pay it in full, does it matter if I pay

I know it's better to wait for a statement to post before paying off a card so it reflects in your utilization rate on your credit score. But since this is a charge card and doesn't reflect utilization rate, does it matter if I wait for the statement to post before paying it off, or can I make the smaller, more frequent payments as they post a few days after swiping the card? Does it make a difference to my credit score?

Set up a variable DD with Amex to pay the full amount on the due date.
Forget Credit Score - the above gets you a good Credit HistoryNever pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0 -
I assume you are not in the UK by your use of terms such as 'posts' and 'swiping the card' and also because the Amex Gold charge card no longer exists for new customers in the UK market so suggest you seek your advice on a US forum or a forum in your own country as it may be different in your country as regards credit sores.2

Guys, I have a question. It's a bit off topic but I think it's not worth of starting a new thread so I'm gonna ask on here.
I'd like to know if your credit reports say you have a charge card or if it just appears as another credit card?

On MSE Credit Club/ Experian, Charge Cards appear separately from Credit and Store Cards1
