Bridesmaid dress - argh!!!

Bought a £150 dress from Debenhams to wear as a bridesmaid at my friend's wedding on Saturday. Half way through the ceremony I felt a weird, drafty sensation on my hip, but couldn't put my flowers down to check what was happening. Only after the ceremony did I realise the zip (which ran down the side seam from the top of the bodice to my hip) had opened up at the bottom and started to come undone!! Spent 15 minutes in the loo at the Reception trying to fix it, but couldn't, so had to go back to the hotel and change - not that I had any other clothes that could match up to the bridesmaid's dress!!!!
This is enough already to make me furious, but the bride rang this morning to say that in some of the official photos (they sent her the proof copies), you can see the 'hole', and the bare skin on my hip very visibly!
Obviously I expect Debenhams to refund the money for the dress, but am I within my rights to request that they make some kind of apology to the bride and groom for not only causing stress at their wedding, but also spoiling some of the photos?!

Sorry no advice, but I'd suspect it will be a no
Surely if there is a hole in the side of the dress you would stand showing the opposite side to where the hole is0 -
If Debenhams don't come good on refunding the value of your dress, so long as you paid by credit card, you will be covered with purchase protection. Good Luck, hope you get a favourable result.
As for the photos, would it be possible for them to be "doctored/airbrushed" a bit by filling in where the hole in the dress was. Debenhams may pay the extra to cover the cost of this service by the photographer. Worth a shot.“Ordinary riches can be stolen, real riches cannot. In your soul are infinitely precious things that cannot be taken from you.” - Oscar Wilde0 -
the photos should be easily photoshoppable but if it costs extra maybe ask debenhams to contribute.0

Yeah they should be, could you post them here maybe0 -
When you take it back-make sure the Manager is going to be in that day (or speak to the Head Office First if it is a shop-in-shop.)Better still, write in first.0

A decent, 21st century photographer would cover up problems like that in a photo for free. You can do it seamlessly in seconds in Photoshop.0

Thanks all. Took Hollydays advice and made an appointment to see the manager rather than just going in to the store at random. She was actually very good - full refund, apology, and they will cover any costs of 'touching up' the photos.0

Darn ... I was hoping to be able to touch up the bridesmaids
IvanI don't care about your first world problems; I have enough of my own!0
