Occasionally get irritated enough to ring them.
Someone has put my email address as their contact. So I regularly get emails saying 'Thank you for your order'.
Littlewoods refuse to stop sending me emails, as it is obviously hotmail's fault.
Last call the actually very patient person (considering I was getting really fed up) said that they couldn't stop sending me these emails because of the Data Protection Act.
I get really irate and OTT then I put it in my junk mail - but every now and then one gets through and I have another rant.
Feel better for typing this.

Well you could report them to the information commisioner for sending you unsolicited emails.
Or you could block the domain from your hotmail inbox, click on options (top right)
"safe and blocked senders"
"blocked senders"
now enter @littlewoods.com
and add it to the list
Whatever is after the @ sign on the email from littlewoods then that is what you type
@littlewoodsorders.co.uk whatever it is.0 -
Thank you, Wig, I couldn't find out how to block the dratted thing!
I feel ashamed of getting annoyed, but they won't put me through to techies and they say that they can't delete info because of the Data Protection Act
I think I need to cut down on caffeine.:oAlways another chapter0 -
I would think they would be breaking dpa too by sending you information about someone else'e orders!Baby Ice arrived 17th April 2011. Tired.com! :j0

What they said was that they had to send emails to the address their customer gave. The DPA meant that they couldn't delete that email address.
I said, if it was a paper envelope returned to sender, wouldn't they send it somewhere different? Apparently not
The only difference is the endings are one is .co.uk and the other .com.
I'm glad they're not building rockets!
Anyway, thanks to Wig I now know how to block the emails. And I rang back and apologised (it's not the call centre staff that are idiots, it's the ones who write the scripts)Always another chapter0 -
Still you'd think they would be concerned for their customers security and write a letter snail mail to the customer at the very least or phone them up.0

Well, the emails didn't contain reference numbers, but no doubt I could have found out all sorts of stuff - in fact, in an earlier bout of this I found out their name and address , although from today's email I think she has got married. The customer is lucky I am more crazed by caffeine than dishonest!
Oh - and I know how much her last payment was.
I now would never have an account with Littlewoods!Always another chapter0 -
All you need to do is go to LX direct.com and request a password reminder by entering your email address, then just log in to the account & change the email address.0

LOL Well that's exactly what i would do.
EDIT: And once i had done that i would place an order for 100 pairs of XXXL pants as a little thankyou gift for the person who caused me to get all the junk emails. LOL0
