Oh my goodness.... Why does PPL have lawyers in their name? They are useless and are causing major delays in the sale of my house.
Do not use them as they:
1. never respond to emails
2. You call and can never speak to your conveyancer.
3. You upload documents that they ignore.
4. They never answer questions without a lot of reminders.
I have sold many many homes and have never worked with such a bunch!

Are they your conveyancers, or your buyer's?
If yours, why are you still using them?0 -
if they were yours, were they recommended by the EA?"It is prudent when shopping for something important, not to limit yourself to Pound land/Estate Agents"

If they are lawyers they are bound by the updated SRA code of conduct (updated last week) and you probably have reasonable grounds to complain that they are not acting in your best interests by ignoring you. Insist on action.0 -

Anybody can call themselves "lawyers" - though only solicitors and licensed conveyancers are allowed to provide conveyancing services.0 -
They have 70 solicitors on their staff0

Yes, but the business isn't a firm of solicitors.0 -
David. That doesnt matter. Individual solicitors are reguated by the SRA, and it matters not if they are in a firm, or individuals or in-house - the rules apply to them.0

Assume this was via Purple Bricks? if so i can agree having gone through that pain 4 years ago with them,
Everything was fine when the whole process started and thought it was all quite slick especially with the website to upload docs and check on progress etc, but as soon as there were any issues then suddenly we could never get hold of our contact. Seemed to be in constant meetings, we would be promised by the person on the phone that they will call as soon as they were out and would never ever call back,
Didn't help that our buyers solicitor was as equally useless, our buyers were first time buyers and our sellers were selling us a house that they used to rent ouot and was empty, should have been very straight forward but just dragged and dragged on for months,0 -
