Littlewoods & applying for buy now pay later

Do you have a pulse? Congratulations, Shop Direct would love to approve you.
In all seriousness, be careful with them. Make sure that you take note of the expiration date of a BNPL plan and clear the balance in affordable installments of your choosing during the 0% period, as failure to do so will result in backdated interest being applied.
Your pension is a source of income and provided that this, along with their credit check (which is not strict at all) has passed, then it should be good to go.
One thing to note however...
Being accepted for an account does NOT automatically qualify you for BNPL. They could only provide the option for weekly payments which is still 0% but requires a payment each month.
Their internal system removes the option for BNPL on purchases for some customers. Whether or not the option will be made available at the checkout depends on their internal criteria and risk.
That's interesting, thank you for that information, I just presumed that if you were accepted you could take advantage of the BNPL over a certain amount.Money, money, money, must be funny, in the rich man's World!0 -

If it's 11 years old it probably shipped with windows vista.
It could be the cpu, but it depends on what cpu it was. The amount of ram and hard drive speed are more likely to be the cause as windows 10 can be a bit more resource hungry.
Fitting 4gb or 8gb of ram and a small SSD could breath life into it, but you'd need someone who knows what they are doing.
Dell offer paypal credit at 0% over 12 months with equal monthly payments (subject to approval). You could pick something up serviceable for £399.99 to £499.99 from their inspiron 15 range.0 -
I don't think you will have a problem getting the account.
Unless you are thinking of applying for a mortgage in the next six months, a search of two is not going to have much of an impact. 10-15 points knocked off your made-up score which will rebound anyway, after a few months.
As mentioned before.... Very does seem to be cheaper on a lot of products than Littlewoods.
I have a Very account and use the BNPL facility every now and then. I just divide the purchase evenly across the BNPL period and then I have my month payment needed to repay within the interest free period.
Remember to completely pay it off within this period otherwise you will have all of the interest added and backdated from the purchase date. Interest ranges anywhere up to 60% I believe so could cost a pretty penny if you don't fully repay.
On the last payment date...... I always pay one week early to avoid any possible late "issues".0 -
My credit history isn’t great but I found it hard to get a Very account. I do have and utilise the BNPL (I was very grateful for it last week when my 15 month old iPhone finally ground to a complete halt) so I wouldn’t say they give accounts to anyone, I think JD Williams are easier and Very/Littlewoods more choosy.*The RK and FF fan club* #Family*Don’t Be Bitter- Glitter!* #LotsOfLove ‘Darling you’re my blood, you have my heartbeat’ Dad 20.02.200

I'm pretty sure the BNPL has recently changed on Very so that you don't get charged all the interest if you don't pay off every penny:You can avoid all of the interest by paying the cash price before the end of the delayed payment period, this can be done in one full payment or multiple partial payments.
Making partial payments without clearing the cash price in full will reduce the lump sum of compound interest charged at the end of the delayed payment period.0 -
