My elder son is now in his 8th year at university and in that time he has required a guarantor for six of those years. Only three of the guarantees were executed correctly.
My younger son is in his 6th year and has only required me as guarantor once. That was executed correctly.
All the more recent ones have been done correctly.
I have never been called on as guarantor. I just view it as one of those things that comes with having children at university.0
