    The latter at this stage.

    Does this seem okay?

Hello. According to the Middlesbrough leisure park site, you manage the car park there and on the 11th of December 2019, the company known as Excel Services Limited who ticket people in your car park, gave me and my grandpa a ticket who suffers from severe renal failure.

I parked in the disabled spot as to use one of the services the car park is there for, I put the disabled badge up, I came back 5 minutes later to the badge not being there but on the floor of my car, I quickly ran over and shown this to the ticketer, he acted like he did not see it and carried on with his day.

A week later I receive a ticket of £100 which later on became £160, I respectfully ask if you would cancel this ticket, I will co-operate anyway I can, I just do not want the stress of this going to county court for my grandpas health as they have threatened in the letters they are sending which are clearly aimed to intimidate people unknown to their rights.

I’m not sure if the last part is more of an attack, should I delete it?

I think your email to Savills is too mild. At the stage you're at, a landowner complaint is a bit of a long shot. Worth doing, but you need to make them sit up and take notice.

The way you describe what happened in your opening post is better - you mention that it was at night, that it was pouring down with rain, you describe how the ticketer completely ignored you in a little more detail.

I would give a paragraph to your grandpa's ill-health, possibly combining it with details of the evening. Get across that your grandpa is an elderly man whose health is very poor at the moment. Let them know how significant this outing was and how enjoyable, if that was the case. Let them know that this completely unfair PCN ruined what would otherwise have been a special evening for you both.

I'm not sure that the bit about court is clear enough. However nor do I think it's an 'attack', anger at the threatening behaviour of the PPC (name them) is completely justified.

If you are shocked by what has happened so far, say so. State clearly that it is having an adverse effect on your Grandpa's failing health. I mean .... you & your Grandpa had a great evening, you did everything you could to make the evening successful, you did everything you could to park correctly. Excel's operative (or whatever they're called!) was extremely rude and unhelpful - focused on just one thing: giving genuine customers a parking ticket! And now you're being pursued, harassed and threatened!

Don't worry, your innate politeness comes across on this forum. You can afford to tell it like it is in a landowner complaint, I doubt very much that you'll cause offence. The landowner needs to hear it like it was and like it is.

Thanks to MistyZ, I found the landowner and I sent them an email with some of the pieces of information that Coupon-Mad put together for me, I very much appreciate it.

Anyways, 2 hours ago, I get a phone call from the land owners, apologising on behalf of Excel and informing me they will cancel the ticket. I have this in text form, email form and I was told over voice but I have heard Excel can be stubborn sometimes.

Bang! AND THE DIRT IS GONE!

    :T

    Thanks for the update!

Who was the landowner, or was this Savills?

Can you please add a link to this thread, in a reply telling everyone who cancelled this for you and which site it was about, in SUCCESSFUL COMPLAINTS ABOUT PPCs (linked in the 1st post of the NEWBIES thread)?

Yes, Savills are the current owners of the Middlesbrough Leisure Park, car park and they seemed very apologetic, probably incase I decided to take it further? I’m not too sure but it just left me a bit surprised they took it serious.

And yes, I will add a link with the information you said on that thread :)

    Thanks for the help guys!

If you mentioned the Equality Act then they were right to take it seriously, and you never know, maybe they have had sooo many complaints that they are about to kick Excel out, and are being proactive to cancel as many as possible now they've realised what this firm is doing to lose business at Middlesbrough Leisure Park.

    That's such great news.

Another example of a big, swanky company showing a human side. Good on 'em. And well done you! Hope your grandad is comfortable & proud of you.

Probably best to check on Excel's site that the ticket has been cancelled.
