What can I do about this UK power Networks
Hi Money Savers
My mother recently had some work done by UK Power Networks and subsequently discovered that she’s been robbed.
She basically had to have her property earthed.
Two workers arrived and carried out the work.
Later after a period of a month she discovered that some of her jewellery is missing.
Considering she lives alone and had no other people in the house after she had the work done, and knows some of the various items that are now missing have lived in the various drawers (that are now empty) for several years prior to the work being carried out.
She remembers that one of the work men was working upstairs whilst the other was on the stairs, whilst she made them a cup of tea and remembers this is the only time she didn’t have a view of what they were doing.
Pls can you advise on how I can approach this.
I would like to make a complaint to the company.
My mother hasn’t informed the police yet or got a crime reference number.
Thank you for any help. It will sure help put my mums mind at rest.

If she has been robbed, surely she should report the matter to the police, allow them to investigate, and hopefully bring the perpetrators to justice.0 -
Report the crime to the police, get a crime number and let them investigate.
When did she last see the jewellery ?
Has she/you contacted her insurers ?Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0 -
OP, I doubt dealing with the company will convince the culprits to own up and return her property. As above, speak to the local police and see if they will investigate. They may do, but it may not be a priority. Bear in mind, if these 2 guys did steal her property, then they may have done it elsewhere and the police may have previous reports.0
