Blog advertising rates

My blog, which I launched a few months ago, is slowly getting traction and increased traffic. Instead of serving google ads, I’m installing an advertising plugin that will allow me to target niche advertisers directly.

I want to offer CPD and CPM ads and wanted advice as a starting price point for both.

Suggestions and advice welcome.

    How targeted is your blog?

For example, if it’s a general car blog, that’s not very targeted and there’s plenty of opposition. That would affect what you can charge.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

How many of your users have adblockers?

How many of your users will you lose when you add them?

We lost a load of members when the Admin team decided to infect the site with taboola, terrible clickbait but if you give up advertising space on your site you may lose control of what is actually placed on it.

Get companies related to the site and make sure you can pull their adverts if they do not pay. I know someone that signed a contract that allowed the adverts for 12 months with no clause to pull them if they didnt pay.

    Quite a minefield.
