    You will probably get a much better second hand laptop for the same price as a new one of these

    They would only be used for simple applications but I agree with previous comment re second hand laptops.

    I did, in post #3, plus a quick google of cloudbook vs chromebook would tell you all you need to know, but as far as I can tell a Cloudbook is simply Microsoft's answer to Google's Chromebook.

    Thanks. So they're the same type of machine, just different brands. Got it.

    The OS is different. Chromebooks, as the name suggests runs off Google Chrome and Cloudbooks run Windows 10.

    I wouldn't buy either myself but each to their own.
