Seen a nice house which is part of a new build estate built in 2016. It's very close to a whole road of abandoned houses. They have only had the house for 3 years and want to sell. Makes me wonder if there is alot of anti-social behavoiur in the area.

You can see the houses above the hill that are abandoned.
Here is a closer look at the road:

Maybe there are plans to build new properties here? Or would you avoid this house which has a clear view of these abandoned houses? It's sunday, so I can't view and ask the seller why they are moving. I would like to speak to the neighbours too.

Have a look on the local authority planning portal to find out if there are any development plans for the area.0

Looks like they may have all been bought up by a developer/compulsory purchased. Maybe housing, maybe a shopping centre, maybe a drive-thru McDonalds, maybe a new road/motorway. What's the area like generally? Search the internet for the area, road name and the local council planning pages. Are you local? Ask in a local shop or pub.2024 wins: *must start comping again!*0

Check out the local crime reports stats for a clue about anti social behaviour0

Remember the adage "Buy the best house on the worst street"?
No?
Well that is probably because it doesn't exist!
There are so many reasons not to buy that house or why the others are boarded up (none of the latter are short term good possibly not even long term good)If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0 -
I'm about 15 minutes away. I will be sure to do some diggingLooks like they may have all been bought up by a developer/compulsory purchased. My psychic abilities are faltering. Give us a clue as to the location, and we'll see what we can dig up.0

It is Camp Hill,a seriously deprived area of Nuneaton, currently undergoing regeneration. The surrounding homes have been compulsory purchased.Barrat Homes are building 150+ new houses across a wide area in Phase 3 of the redevelopment of the area.
One to avoid in my book0 -
So think of them not as abandoned boarded-up houses, but as brownfield building land.Elasticmoney wrote: »It is Camp Hill,a seriously deprived area of Nuneaton, currently undergoing regeneration. The surrounding homes have been compulsory purchased.Barrat Homes are building 150+ new houses across a wide area in Phase 3 of the redevelopment of the area.

If the area is due to be redeveloped it could be a shrewd move to buy it although you would have to be aware that there could be antisocial behaviour until the site is developed and there would be disruption while the development is taking place.0
