Marcus Withdrawals Slow?

Last night I requested a withdrawal from my Marcus account and it took over 12 hours to arrive in my current account. Normally it takes only a couple of minutes - did anyone else encounter this?

Yes I withdrew yesterday and it didn't arrive until this morning.

They're often slow at the weekend.

You requested a withdrawal Saturday night and the money was in your account on Sunday morning.
Sounds like very good service to me.

They always seem to be a bit slower at the weekend, not sure why.

In fact I have noticed that even during working hours money often takes a few minutes to transfer whereas with many banks it is almost instantaneous.

It has a nice straightforward interface which does the job though.

I was the same - not sure why it's slower at the weekend ?

The money was transferred eventually - which is the important part.

Could be weekend System Maintenance at Marcus or the receiving bank

Yes it is but it seems slow and worrying when you are used to it happening in seconds. My transfers from Marcus have always been almost immediate.

I had a similar situation transferring funds from Nationwide into my x-o sharedealing account. I was used to it happening in a couple of minutes, so when one time it didn't arrive till the next day I was starting to worry.

Not just Marcus. I withdrew some money from Tesco Bank on Saturday evening and it didn’t arrive until Sunday morning.

I have no problem with Marcus withdrawals during the week - they are normally very fast.
