Selling deceased person's car

Hi all,
we are four executors, all four equal beneficiaries and want to sell our late father's car before Winter sets in. A solicitor is administering the estate and we are a few weeks off probate being completed.
The car was valued for probate with Webuyanycar.com. We wanted to sell via the same company, as its a method that gives transparency ( nobody gets on) however, you can only sell to them if you are the registered owner, AND if the monies are paid directly into the said owner's bank account - all of which are frozen. Apparently we need a solicitor's letter to explain our situation.
Will we still need this when we've gone through probate? Is there a better way to sell that will allow all the executors to see they are getting their fair share?
By the way, how much is a solicitor's letter? the car must only be worth a few hundred pounds now as it's badly deteriorated. The solicitor has offered to sell it for us??? I don't know what that will entail...
Thank you in anticipation!

Go to the local backstreet/banger place they will probably pay close enough to wbac offer
Remember when wbac come to collect they will probably knock down the price.
If anyone of you thinks it is worth more they can buy it off the estate and sell it themselves.
Dealers are often happy with the v5 and you put deceased on the bit you send to DVLA.0 -
Fantastic answers Lulu and Getmore! I think the solicitor is becoming a bit too 'helpful', so great to know there ARE free options! Thank you very much!0
