i read they want to make an exit / sell off some portion of the Biz in 5 yrs
What could be the potential upside @ exit, if they make their targets?

What evidence do you have that suggest they might reach their targets?

Surely the most relevant question is what is the potential downside if they don't meet their target?

Personally i wouldn't touch anything like this with a bargepole, unless I understood the business concerned and had faith it is in competent hands - which is impossible to assess just from a crowdcube pitch - they'll spin it the way they want to spin it - - but your mileage may differ!

Of course it is possible that they will grow very fast and be very profitable and successful .
Then the company will be sold in 5 years time and all original investors will make a killing .
On the other side they could be bust in a couple of years and you lose everything. Or that they will survive but not perform as well as expected and you will be stuck with the unsaleable shares for many years .
At the end of the day it is a punt and like all bets nobody can predict the outcome .
