Can anyone with G6 flashcards experience on a ds lite help me please?

I have had to reformat my G6 card which I think I have done correctly, however when I turn the ds on, it still comes up saying there is no system file found,put system file in or press a to run mini-loader. if I press A, then it will take me to the NDS file where I can then load the game but I didn't have to do any of this before so I guess I am doing something wrong, anyone that could help I would really appreciate it. x
