ASDA CC Mysterious Transaction

in Credit cards
I've just received my November statement for my ASDA/Creation card and it has a transaction dated in May right in the middle of October and November spends.
I only use my ASDA card at my local ASDA store and it's petrol station (it gets me 1% cashback) and it does show that store but a different wording than all the other transactions at that store.
I've had no other contact from Creation or ASDA regarding this and it's over £20. I don't check the transactions every month so don't know if I spent it then or not.
Does anyone have experience of this odd situation? I haven't contacted the company about it yet.

Give them a call.
Transactions can often be very delayed and retailer names don't always appear as you would expect.0 -
It's possible that the transaction got delayed, and wasn't posted to your account for some time. It's not common, but it does happen.
My first port of call if I see something I don't recognise on my statement is to Google the name/wording of the transaction. Invariably that throws something up and I'll say "Ah yes, of course, I'd forgotten that". But if you are still concerned, the easiest thing is to phone up your card provider and ask them - they're usually pretty good at tracing and explaining what a particular transaction relates to.0 -
Turns out this was delayed as it was a payment I made on a previous card which I then reported lost and it's taken that time to show!
The card wasn't lost outside and I did eventually find it so no risk of someone else having found it and spent this.0
