Without the disc your not going to get very far - if you really need Word, Office 365 from £60 a year, or free alteratives are available: openoffice, libreoffice etc0

Magic Jellybean should get you the key back, you can then download Office from the website:

Yes and it will probably be a organisation digital key at risk of being blocked by Microsoft when they realise it's been used too many times. Happened to me with a similarly priced Office 365 which transpired to be registered to some American educational institution, real or otherwise, with the dodgy seller as administrator. I was allocated an email address although I could set my own password. I was a bit wary of it from the start when I realised what it was and careful not to use it for any sensitive information. It lasted about 9 months then I got an email from Microsoft advising that the entire account was being cancelled due to misuse by the administrator but kindly giving a month's notice to get stuff back from my 5 TB OneDrive.0 -
You are not comparing apples with apples. Have not had any problems with buying office from eBay but would be a bit more wary of office 365"The Holy Writ of Gloucester Rugby Club demands: first, that the forwards shall win the ball; second, that the forwards shall keep the ball; and third, the backs shall buy the beer." - Doug Ibbotson0
