Can anyone recommend a Tabket up to around £200 (£250 at a push).
Needs a reasonable amount of memory and the ability to play some decent APP based games and watch Sky Go/ BT Sport.
No need for mobile data connectivity.
Open to Android or Apple.
My Tesco Hudl 2 was a good buy years ago but is a bit old in the tooth now.

If you were happy with the Hudl, check the amazon fire range, currently at great discount for BF0

To echo sal's comment, I replaced my old Hudl with a Fire HD and it's been ok as I'm firmly in the "Alexa camp" so it works well with my other devices.
I did find it quite different to a traditionally Android based tablet though, in that there are not as many apps available and it doesn't like really like anything google based such as maps or photos.0 -

Really? I'd better tell my Fire HD7 to stop running Google Play Services, the Store, all the apps I've installed from the Store and the Maps app etc.0 -
Since it's Black Friday, you really can't beat on of the Amazon Fire tablets. The 10" is currently on at £95 and the 8" at £45. They may lack the design of the Apple or Samsung tablets but they are a fraction of the price.
Out of the box you are tied to the Amazon ecosystem but it is easy to install the Google Play store if you want your usual Google apps and services.0 -
Thanks for the replies so far.
The fire sounds good but I use some paid for apps that wouldn’t move across to the fire for free (I’m guessing). Will need to see if they are actually available on that system.
I should have mentioned screen size. 10inch and above would be great. If I’m changing I might as well go bigger than the current 8.30 -
Have a look at Tab A 2019 or M5 Lite0

Just grab one and test, if it's not working, just factory reset and send back to amazon for full refund.0 -
Lidl have a Lenovo Tab E10 Tablet, £80 on Black Friday.
Similar (may not be the identical model) from Argos.

How to get Google Play store on your Fire tablet

Once you've done that then it really is seamless. I've got Chrome, Gmail, Google Maps, YouTube, Google Docs etc all running without any problems.0
