just found this news story from a while ago suggesting that certain train operators were going to bring in last minute bargain train tickets, to avoid half empty trains. does anyone know if this had been implemented yet?

It hasn't been implemented as yet, still in the planning stages as far as I can tell. The earliest it's likely to be is September0
