Hi all, can anyone point me to a link with the building regulations for flats - re internal doors? I'm unable to find the right one... Some posts above suggest it might not be a requirement to have internal fire doors, but some others say it is. Thanks.0

Building regulations Part B - fire. There’s a section on flats. https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/832631/Approved_Document_B__fire_safety__volume_1_-_2019_edition.pdf
You won’t necessarily be required to bring your property up to current regs though - you really need to check the specific wording the freeholder has requested be changed/added in the lease.0 -
And for the front door compliance with current Building Regulations may not be enough.
Under the Fire Safety (Regulatory Reform) Order, which applies to communal spaces in flatted buildings, the person in control (freeholder) has to take fire safety precautions. If the freeholder's risk assessment says that a higher standard of front door is required, it will be difficult to argue against it.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0
