Ophie just off the top of my head, don't know if they are able to do this but...could you give the CAB a quick call and explain that your daughter is ill and how dire things are and ask if they could possibly visit you at home.

It's hard being a new mum - you are entitled to an assessment of your need for adoption support, which can include financial support, from the adoption agency that placed your child with you. You can ask the agency that assessed you as an adopter to approach the agency that placed your child, on your behalf. Every adopter should have a support social worker when approved as an adopter. Until the adoption order is made the adoption agency (usually an adoption department of a local authority) that placed your child should be visiting the child regularly until the adoption order is made.
Of course, with the best will in the world, occasionally for various reasons, the adoptive parent and child don't 'bond' or have initial problems whether financial or otherwise. You can talk through your concerns with your support social worker, they will have experience in these matters. You can also phone one of the adoption charities for independent advice eg. Post Adoption Centre advice line 0870 777 2197 or look at the website www.postadoptioncentre.org.uk/
Good luck and remember, however bad things feel now there is help out there and people who have been through similar experiences. Look after yourself, best wishes0
