House unmortgageable due to cavity wall installation on steel-framed house

We've found ourselves unable to remortgage due to having installed cavity wall insulation on a steel-framed house. Some questions:
1. Has anyone managed to get a mortgage for such a house and, if so, which lender?
2. Has anyone had this removed. If so, how much was it and who did it?
3. Has anyone had any contact with Cavity Wall Claims? The claim would be on the basis that it was never suitable for the property.

1. Yes, its unfortunately quite common on a whole load of bungalows down here. The last one i did was with Platform. I dont think I particularly struggled with sourcing though, althouth it was about 50% ltv.0
