    From a selfish point of view (low energy user), I would prefer it if some providers gave the option of the old no standing charge tariffs, whereby you paid a higher unit rate for the first x kWh  per quarter and then any units above that were charged at a lower rate. For average/high energy use customers there was no real difference in costs but for customers like myself, bills were much much lower.
    Kinda remember these tariffs..
    Was a lot easier for the customer & I dare say the supplier.
    Would it be fair to say that back in the day when there was a shake up in the industry that bills needed to be simple for people to understand that's when it went all wrong..
    So firstly make bills simple, well that obviously didn't work, so lets introduce smart meters, well that hasn't worked either.
    What happened to pay for what you use.
    And as far as the infrastructure needs to be paid for, well that's another conversation
      
    If i could i would, but i cannot so i wont, but maybe one day i will.
