If it told you to pay someone else it would indicate SCS are acting as debt crawlers.
By telling you to pay the scammers direct it implies they are acting as scamlicitors.
You need to crack on with the SAR and correction notice. Don't forget to ask them for a copy of the cancellation letter as well as the other items already mentioned.
