Can anyone recommend a floor standing boiler?

I'm looking to replace my current boiler which is a floor standing Ideal Mexico model standard boiler with a tank in the loft which is around 18 years old. The boiler is in a small utility room with not much wall space, so it might be easier to get another floor standing model.
I'm not sure if there are many floor standing boilers available these days or what brands / models are recommended.
Any advice on the models / brands of boilers I should consider would be appreciated.

Depends what you want to use it for. You can get a Worcester Highflow...something like a 440, stores hot water so kind of like a storage combi. You’d lose all your tanks.
Not cheap though0 -
It will need to be able to run 14 radiators and provide hot water for the kitchen and one bathroom.
We don't use the loft area for anything, so I'm not sure if there is much benefit in losing the tanks.0 -
A 440 is 30kw and provides 20lpm of hot water...it will suffice. The hot water will be on demand too. So no heating tanks in of water.
I’m not saying there is a benefit. But with this type of boiler they won’t be needed.
Would hot water on demand not be beneficial?0 -
Oh and you can get another ideal Mexico!
They use the facia from the isar/icos models and I know some that I’ve worked on the PCB’s too.
I would not recommend these.
Worcester do a CDI floor standing heat only model too, so there a few options.0 -
I had someone round today to look at the system who said that I would be best keeping the same type of boiler because of the size of my house.
It's got four bedrooms and two public rooms and they were saying a combi type boiler wouldn't be powerful enough for the size of the house.0 -

A combi will have more than enough output for your heating system, whether a combi is right for your house is another matterI'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.
You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.0 -
Southcoast thanks. Are there any boiler makes that you would either recommend or avoid?
Also what factors would you need to consider when deciding if a combi is suitable?0
