DMFlywheel 2 year old Fiesta 17000 miles

17 plate Ford Fiesta with 17000 miles on clock. Put it into Ford garage but am being told it is wear and tear. Of the Dual mass flywheel. My previous cars had over 80000 miles on the clock with no clutch problems whatsoever. Purchased car with 5000 miles on the clock from Ford Dealership. Where and who does private inspection?

The clutch could be wear and tear but not the DMF. It sounds like it has failed prematurely and should be replaced under warranty. My friend's Kia one was when that failed.

You don't know what happened to it in that 5000 miles before you had it.
And unfortunately, car parts, and parts of anything else for that matter do fail before they are supposed to. Inspection, at least IMO, is not going to prove anything apart from the fact that the DMF is failing. On a 2 year old, two owner, 20000 mile car, there will most likely be no way of knowing the exact cause.

Are they saying clutch is worn out, but replace DMF also OR are they saying you purely have a DMF fault?

Yes agreed. Ford were the owners before me, ex demo car I believe
