Unusual things in the freezer

Options
We’ve just a massive sort out of our 2 freezers.

Apart from the usual mountain of meat, fish, fruit and veg we found a few less familiar items

Fresh galangal
Fresh turmeric
Pony sausages
Pony burgers (both from the cull on Exmoor)
Camel burgers
Zebra burgers

OH has very eclectic tastes and is willing to try any thing :rotfl:

Have you found found anything slightly unusual in your freezer?

Just remembered we’re going to the place we got the zebra and camel this morning, who knows what we’ll find

Frozen maggots deposited and then forgotten about by my son when he still lived at home (he is a keen angler). I was horrified once I worked out what they were.....

2 pairs of tights, a few balls of fluffy wool and some candles! Also loads of food.
  • Any vintage garments or blankets made of wool or silk that I suspect may harbour moth larvae!

  • I also freeze clothes that may have visitors and whole suit cases if I am worried about bedbugs coming home.

I did have a funny moment when I got some Parmesan out and it went squishy only to realise it was white chocolate and orange cheese cake. I was suspicious I had grated it into my dinner from frozen and not realised.

When I downsized from a big chest freezer, lurking in the bottom were half a dozen rolls of 35mm Agfa and Fuji film dating back to the last century. Yes, I know, I should have dealt with them a long time ago.

My mothers freezer contents are that old there are woolly mammoth steaks in there.
  • Occasionally clothes/sheets from my teenager that have had chewing gum attached - it shatters and chips of when it's frozen
    2021 - mission declutter and clean - 0/2021
  • I had a snowball in there for a couple of years

Why am I in this handcart and where are we going ?
  • A regular poster on the DFW board used to be well known for the rather random contents of her freezer - I seem to recall at one stage there was both a Puffin and a Blackbird in there...
