If the information here is not giving you the answers you are after, you are stuck.
  • Define "better" - what may be "best" for you may not be the same as is what is best for someone else with different circumstance. See here: https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/bank-accounts/

You mention interest free arrangements - are you referring to 0% overdrafts? If so, the only ones that I'm aware of are First Direct (0% on £250), M&S Bank (0% on first £100) and Nationwide FlexDirect (0% on whatever overdraft they offer for the first 12 months).

with interest free I meant where's no interest involved ...just the plain reward as they state... I am ok without overdraft (overdraft limit £0)… many thanks..

So you are not satisfied with 2% back on your direct debits.
You have no other consideration in choosing a bank account. Nothing else matters or is of any importance. Just an account which gives you more than 2% back on your direct debits and you have no interest in an account which pays interest in fact you have specificialy stated that you require an account which does not pay interest. Is that correct?
Just to clarify. If there was a account which paid 2.25% back on your direct debits but also paid interest, such an account would be unacceptable to you?

What do you want out of this new account?

Isn't cashback interest, in a different form?

There would seem to be 4 providers to consider, including the one you're with now. Some you need to pay bills...some you don't. Some you need to pay specific utility DDs...some you don't. One will double up the rewards for the first year...the rest won't.

But 2% is a meaningless number...it's hard cash that matters isn't it? If you can switch to a bank that pays you an amount per month that's greater than what your current provider pays you then that's the one to go for...or is it?

Please post back when you've done your research and let us know which, if any, you've decided on...and why.

I suspect - although I don't know for certain - that the op is referring to the NatWest 2% cashback current account which is changing in the near future

the op is probably asking if there is anything out there are better than the 'new' NatWest account

And again it will all come down to what OP defines as "better". They have been provided with all the info they need to decide for themselves, as it is unclear from their posts exactly what they are after... not much point in speculating IMO.
