Can anyone recommend one suitable for a Mac, please? Since I've upgraded my Mac, the ad blocker has stopped working – not sure, but it may have been called 'Ad Block'.
Should/can one use more than one ad blocker?
If anyone can provide a link, that would be much appreciated. I don't want to import 'viruses', etc., by going to a dodgy site.

UBlock is cross computer compatible:
https://ublock.org/
You install it into Safari from the Mac store. Or the above website.
In theory you can have as many ad blockers as you like but they will add to the computer resources that are used by the browser. Best to stick with one.0 -
OK – will investigate. Thank you for the info.0

There's some info here: https://www.macworld.co.uk/how-to/mac/block-ads-mac-3665620/
I use Adblock Plus on Windows 7 and I swear by it, it's the only thing that makes the web bearable.0 -
...and yes, you can use more than one ad-blocker, although it is probably best to stick to one good one. If I find you don't need much more than Adblock Plus in general.0

uBlock Origin on Windows (for me) ... much better (less resources used) than ABP. A quick web search suggests use of uBlock Origin may depend on your MacOS / Safari version.

I've installed UBlock and it seems to be working. Unfortunately, AdBlock was disabled when I upgraded my Mac – think it was a deliberate ploy by Apple.0
