MBNA Money Transfer

Options
So I've just been approved for a Money Transfer card with mbna for £5600, literally 10 minutes ago. I've tried to complete a Money Transfer, and it's knocked me back due to eligibility checks...

Like I said, I was approved for the card and credit 10 minutes ago, I have access to the app, it lets me submit the details, but then declines when I try to process it saying I'm not eligible.

How very bizarre, can anyone enlighten me ?

I know of no card that would let you do a bslance transfer 10 minutes after application.

How about you wait and activate the card.
  • You are partly right mate, thank you. Activating the card is only linked to retail transactions, however I have just been informed the card needs to be live for 48 hours before a transfer is able to be processed.

Look mate, the card hasn't even been issued yet. Accounts are not opened within 10 minutes of application, approved or not. You were probbaly given the opportunity to request the money transfer at the time of application which I am assuming you didn't do. You can't log on to online banking 10 minutes after an application and do this.
Wait for your account to be opened and wait for your card then try it.
    Is that clear mate?

I opened a Halifax Clarity card and I could the card/account along with the limit etc. within half an hour of the application being accepted on my online banking.

OH has just opened an MBNA card (not the money transfer one, I think it’s called Dual or Duet or some such) He was offered a money transfer (0% else I wouldn’t have done it) during application, which he accepted and chose 1k (3.3k limit) This was processed, accepted and in his NatWest account a couple of days ago. That said when logging onto the MBNA website I can see his full credit card number but there’s no functionality.
