yes it was. Servicing is required on the earlier of 20k miles or 2 years, and it was done at 19,950 miles... So there has only been one service check so far.0 -

They will only be able to tell you if they can detect if repairs have been carried out, not IF repairs have been carried out.
How far do you want to take this though?
As far as a reasonable, first-time buyer normally would. I’m not paranoid but neither do I want to find out the hard way that I’ve missed something very obvious. That was really the point of my original post – am I doing something wildly stupid, missing something blatantly obvious, etc.
I normally err on the side of caution with any purchase that I make, but in this case literally everything I’ve looked at was filling me with confidence. For instance, none of the ~10 dealers I’ve spoken to were not even half as responsive and professional as these people. So I’d be fine to just take the HPI report they showed me and the pre-purchase check they had done at face value, unless people on this forum tell me this is a terribly irresponsible thing to do.0 -
Just check it isn't two half write offs that have been welded together.0

I suppose you could get your own HPI check done, so it covers you personally and not the seller.0

Where else can I get this sort of information from? Pre-purchase check by an independent workshop, right?
Even if there has been bodywork done since the factory, that doesn't mean it's been bent by the first owner - a substantial percentage of new vehicles get damaged in transit and have some rectification before sale.0 -

Then its down to whether you trust them or not based on the information you have and if not
* Get a Porsche inspection
* Get an independent bodywork inspection done.
If you are getting your own HPI check done, get one done by HPI themselves.
I dont think you'd be considered irresponsible proceeding with the information you have so far - personally i'd be happy enough, but further than that is up to you.0
