Keep Warm Ltd loft insulation - anyone used them?

We have received a letter from a company called Keep Warm Ltd who claim that we can have a government grant of 100% to cover the costs of loft insulation/cavity wall insulation in our house, as we have someone who is in receipt of Disability Living Allowance. This all sounds a bit "too good to be true" to me, has anyone on here used this company and are they any good?! Thanks!

It isn't too good to be true, it's a government initiative. You can get more details here & may prefer to apply through Warmfront, who will send out an assessor. Warmfront then allocate the work to one of the companies on their approved list. http://www.warmfront.co.uk/

Keep Warm in all probability are on the list, but are just touting for work by targetting likely customers direct. It could well be that they are the company allocated your house if you apply via the Warmfront site.
The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.

I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.

  • Thanks very much for all the helpful replies, especially andrew.b :T I checked out the Energy Saving Trust site as you suggested and it does seem as though we'll be able to get something.

If you want to be sure of getting the work done by an accredited installer - and getting the grant if you're eligible for one (most home owners and private tenants are eligible for 50% at least, those on qualifying benefits, tax credits etc, 100%) - then please be sure to use government-grants.co.uk

There are many firms out there claiming to be from 'Government Grants', but this isn't the case, the site linked above is where you can be assured of good service and the grant if it is available to you.
