Converting 3 wire thermostat to Hive SLT5 2 wire thermostat

I have a few Heatmiser DS1 V2 thermostats wired up in 230V Switching Mode, meaning that I have wires for Live, Neutral and Switched Live (they call it Live Return).
I'd like to replace these with some Hive SLT5 wired thermostats, but these only require a Live & Neutral, with no preference on which wire is connected to which terminal either (presumably because the thermostat is battery powered).
I'd therefore like to know how to wire this up if somebody can help? Since I won't want a short circuit it seems fairly obvious that Live would go in its own terminal, and Switched Live would go in the other terminal, but I'm not sure if I should connect Neutral to the same terminal as Switched Live, or just leave it unconnected?
p.s. I haven't checked how these are wired at the other end, but this is a brand new house, so wires should presumably all be connected as indicated.

The fact that you are asking such a basic question shows that you are incapable of doing this simple job and should put your tools away!0 -
Please seek assistance from a competent person if you are at all unsure with any electrical work around the home.0

Thermostats like the DS1 have a L/N to the supply and 2 terminals for the relay/switch, one of which is wired to the L, the other is then then switched live.
A 2 terminal thermostat does not require a neutral/common. Please don't connect the neutral to the switched live, it will most likely go *bang* !For every complex problem there is an answer that is clear, simple and wrong.0 -

What a silly thing to say!0 -

Thanks so much @keith969, you're now the second person to confirm this, which has greatly increased my confidence. Much obliged to you!0 -
For anyone that may see this post in the future, I installed the Hive STL5 wired thermostat as advised, and it's working great.0
