My Barclaycard's in the black. Can I get money?

I have received a payment from my daughters University, but instead of sending a cheque they have put it on my Barclaycard which I have used in the past for paying her fees. This has left my B/card £442 in credit (which also means I have earnt minus 221 Nectar points this month!)

I don't tend to use my Barclaycard much now(2 or 3 standing authorisations on it) since getting a Nationwide Reward CC. Can I get Barclaycard to send me a cheque or will I just have to spend on it to use these funds?

Ring their Customer Service line and explain the situation. You should be able to get a cheque sent through the post, or they may even be able to transfer it through BACS to your account.

It is your money so they have no right to keep hold of it.

As daveboy says, you can have the money credited to your bank account via BACS, and they're quick about it which is what I like. Negative nectar points, I know the feeling. lol.

Sorted. I gave bank account details for direct transfer but they said it would take 5-7 days.
